Amazfit GTS

This Xiaomi and Huami smartwatch has a very particular design, squarer than its brother the Amazfit GTR, or the older Verge, Verge 2, and Verge 2 Lite.

To specify, its diagonal is 1.65'', with a resolution (348 x 442) that yields a good figure of 331 pixels per inch (dpi or ppi for its acronym in English). More than enough, considering the distance at which the content of the device is usually viewed. The touch panel is AMOLED and there are different templates or watchfaces to personalize the device, more than 100. Some of them, in combination with the panel technology, will save money a good number of days and that we do not have to go through the charger too often. The panel glass is curved at the edges (2.5D).

Regarding the battery, official sources say that it could give up to 46 days of continuous use with the functionalities to a minimum, as well as the brightness of the screen. It is certainly a very positive figure for a 200 mAh lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. However, the most relevant data regarding autonomy may be that which refers to a "medium" use of notifications, message display, GPS and monitoring, etc. It is estimated that the battery could last around 14 days with an "average" use. To finish this section, the device could be about 25 hours continuously using the built-in GPS sensor.

As just mentioned, it has technology. GPS and GLONASS (not GALILEO), as well as an NFC chip to make payments and Bluetooth 5.0 for pairing with the smartphone (compatible software from Android 5.0 Lollipop or iOS 10.0 -beware of those iPhones 6/6s that have not wanted to update the software-). Like most devices with these characteristics, it has a heart rate sensor capable of monitoring different sports activities that can be indicated from the official Amazfit App. It also allows automatic monitoring without activating sports modes, although it should be noted that this reduces battery life. It is waterproof up to 5 atmospheres of pressure, but it does not have an IP certificate.

The straps are interchangeable and very easy to find. The dimensions of the product without taking into account the strap are 43.25 x 36.25 x 9.4 mm, with a weight of 24.8 g.
